My main research interests are quantum field theories and string theory. In particular I am currently studying Brane world scenarios such as the Dvali-Gabadadze-Porrati model and its higher codimension generalizations. These are effective theories for which gravity is modified at large distances. Their implications range from providing a covariant model of massive gravity to solving the cosmological constant problem. I am also intersted in the related problem of realizing these models in a fundamental theory such as string theory. I am iterested in string theory both as a fundamental theory of all interactions (and the related string phenomenology and string cosmology) and also as a dual (equivalent) description of field theories (holographic descriptions of QCD-like theories).
