Statement of Interest:



  Most recently I have been studying so-called "non-geometric"
compactifications of string theory, especially in the context of
fibering tori over non-simply-connected bases with transition
functions in the full T-duality group.  Other areas I have worked on
include time-dependent orbifolds of string theory and their matrix
models, and flux compactifications, especially non-perturbative
instanton effects and attempts to realize such models in the hybrid
formalism of Berkovits.
