Statement of Interest:
Currently, my main research interests are centered around
supergravity, string compactifications and non-perturbative effects in
string theory. In particular, I have been working on determining the
string loop and space-time instanton corrections to the low energy
effective actions arising from compactifying type II strings on a
generic Calabi-Yau threefold. On the type IIB side this has recently
led to the understanding of the perturbative and D(-1) and D(1)
instanton corrections to the four-dimensional effective action.
