  I have been working on various aspects of string theory 
including in particular AdS/CFT and noncommutative geometry. 
Recently, I have made progress in generalizing the brane tiling (dimer) model 
to the M2 brane theory on toric Calabi-Yau four-fold singularities. 
I am also working on finite temperature/density CFT 
and their relation to black hole physics and applications to QCD.
