Nuclear astrophysics with Professor James Lattimer Opportunities exist to work on experimental and theoretical projects in nuclear astrophysics. Examples of experimentally-focused work are determining parallaxes of nearby neutron stars and simulating atmospheres of neutron stars. Examples of theoretically-focused work are finding new analytic solutions of Einstein's equations applicable to neutron stars, estimating the maximum mass of neutron stars, exploration of the structure of neutron stars.
