Statement of Interest:
I am a Phd student in high energy physics at the Lorentz Institute
(Leiden University, the Netherlands). I will graduate by November 2006
and will start a postdoc at Leuven University where I will be working
with Antoine Van Proeyen and Frederic Denef on string theory and
supergravity.
This year I am working on attractor mechanism for flux
compactification of string theory with Renata Kallosh at Stanford
Institute of Theoretical Physics where I am a visiting scholar for the
period January-April 2006.
Last year, I have been working on Fayet Iliopoulos term in
supergravity with my supervisor Ana Achucarro together with Antoine
Van Proeyen and his students. We have obtained a mechanism to
construct Fayet Iliopoulos from N=2 supergravity and we have used it
to construct the first example of cosmic string solution with constant
Fayet Iliopoulos term in N=2 supergravity.
Earlier in my Phd I was working on BRST cohomology in the context of
QCD. I learned BRST cohomology while I was doing my master thesis in
mathematical sciences at University of Brussels with Marc Henneaux.
I will attempt the summer school in Princeton on application of
String theory.
