I am currently interested BTZ black hole entropy calculation both in gravity and CFT side. Witten has conjectured that the BTZ states can be recognized as the primary states as a c=24 CFT with monster symmetry. But it has not been confirmed that the thermal path integral in the gravity shows temperature dependence as suggested by any CFT. My goal is to study both sides and try to get a hint of the mystery behind this. Another project I have been working on for a while is the standard model building on an orientifold by constructing quiver diagrams. We build the background as locally around an orbifold singularity. We have to add some orientifold planes in order to provide all the Yukawa couplings in the Standard Model. I wrote a computer program to generate the quiver diagrams of the spectrum from in principle any discrete for the orbifold. After finding the good group, we can do some phenomenological study. Recently, I have also grown interest in models on chiral symmetry breaking, e.g., the Sakai-Sukimoto model with some orientifold projection.
