General Information

Note to All Attendees:

The reception on Thursday (Oct.10) evening will be in the University Room on the first floor of the Holiday Inn.

Note to Speakers:

Transparency projectors and laptop projectors will both be available. It is recommended that speakers planning to give laptop presentations should also bring transparencies of their talks. These talks will be put on the web site after they are given, and speakers are requested to make available the files as .ps or .pdf files to Dr. Chi-Ming Hung (cmhung@insti.physics.sunysb.edu).

Parking:

There will be parking for conference attendees in the normally metered section of the large Engineering Parking Lot southwest of the math-physics building (not the smaller one directly southwest of this building). The normally metered section of this large parking lot is on the northern side, adjacent to a narrow strip of forest that separates it from the smaller parking lot near the math-physics building. For the conference the parking is free; you do not have to put any money in the meters.

Internet access is available in the SAC lounge. For access to PC's and unix machines with telnet (ssh) capability, go to room D129 of the physics building. This is normally locked, but the door should be propped open. The userid and password will be given at the conference.

A continental breakfast is included in the price. The hotel is located about two miles south of the campus and offers some van service to the physics building. We also plan to have buses/vans for transportation.

The lunches and dinners are provided. The lunches will include a selection of food including vegatarian and kosher. For the dinners, please indicate if you have special dietary needs (vegetarian, kosher).
