The Institute for Theoretical Physics at the State University of New York at Stony Brook will have openings for tenure track Assistant Professors and Postdoctoral Research Associates beginning September 1998. The Institute does comprehensive research in various fields of theoretical physics including, but not limited to, gauge field theory, the standard model of elementary particles, perturbative chromodynamics, lattice field theory, supersymmetry, superstrings, and statistical mechanics. It is also looking forward to expansion into mathematical biophysics. Review of applications will begin on November 15, 1997 and continue until the positions are filled.
