Spontaneous magnetization of the integrable chiral Potts model: The
Baxter approach

The recent papers of Baxter will also be discussed, and we will
show that the two entirely different approaches give the same
result. Rigorous proofs of some of the identities are still
missing. We will discuss these and other remaining open
problems for the superintegrable models.
