Title: Stability of orbifolds

Abstract: As is well known, the existence of constant scalar
curvature Kahler metrics on projective manifolds is connected to
stability of coming from embeddings in weighted projective space. In
this talk I will discuss joint work with Richard Thomas giving a
framework that extends this to orbifolds with cyclic quotient
singularities using embeddings in weighted projective space and a
weighted Bergman kernel.  I will also give some examples to show how
many known obstructions (e.g. those of Troyanov, Ghigi-Kollar, the
Sasaki-Einstein obstructions of Gauntlett-Martelli-Sparks-Yau) fit
into this framework.
