Leonardo Rastelli Named Finalist for 2014 Blavatnik Award

YITP faculty member Leonardo Rastelli has been named a finalist in the 2014 National Competition for the new Blavatnik Awards for Young Scientists.

Working with the New York Academy of Sciences, the Blavatnik Foundation has established these awards in Physical Sciences and Engineering, Life Sciences and Chemistry to "recognize and celebrate exceptional young scientists".   Leonardo is a finalist for the Physical Sciences and Engineering Award, in a short list chosen from hundreds of applications. The Awards will be conferred in September of this year.

2013-2014 Science Playwrighting Competition: WINNERS

Institute Professor Christopher Herzog, with support from the YITP and in collaboration with the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics and the Theatre Arts Department, organized the second SBU Science Playwriting Competition.
